Great news about the Rap superstars Jay-Z and Eminem are set to perform a pair of headlining concerts together in September, In May 13 it has been announced that the two will share the stage at stadiums in New York City and Detroit, the hometowns of the two artists. On September 2nd the rocking Eminem will headline a show at Detroit’s Comerica Park, joined by Jay-Z and on September 13 the hottest star Jay-Z will headline at New York’s Yankee Stadium.

The artists first announced the news during an appearance at Comerica Park, where the Detroit Tigers hosted the New York Yankees. The rocking Jay-Z and Alicia Keys will team up once again for the sequel to “Empire State Of Mind,” the song performed at Game 2 of the World Series between the Yankees and Philly last week. Originally on Jay-Z’s “Blueprint 3″ album, “Empire State of Mind Pt. 2″ will include a new Jay-Z verse and will appear on Alicia Keys’ upcoming “Element of Freedom” album, slated for a Dec. 15 release on J Records. Beyonce along with Jay-Z have been enjoying their time in London, playing gigs, doing a bit of shopping and seeing some of the capital’s sights. The hottest singers including JLS, Jay-Z with Alicia Keys, Justin Bieber, N-Dubz with Mr. Hudson, 30h!3 with Katy Perry and Ke$ha have all been given a Domino-style makeover, and our old friend Steven Peavis has come along for this musical journey during hitsville, too. Music is often taken for granted but often there is many processes that are involved before it reaches the listeners ears. One such procedure is online mastering. Online mastering is not particularly well understood or known about. The predominantly understood processes in music production for a layman are recording and mixing. Recording is pretty obvious, it is the stage where the music is recorded using microphones and cables to a digital recorder which is often a pc or Apple computer system.

Mixing is where the music is balanced using either a mixing console or a digital audio workstation. After a track is mixed it is preferable to have the music mastered. The mastering engineer will have a very high end loudpseaker system and will also have his or her acoustics under control. This allows very accurate monitoring conditions and sets up the perfect situation for tonal shaping of the mix. The mastering engineer will use equalizers and other audio tools to make tweaks here and there which all add up to make a bigger overall improvement to the music.

This means the music will sound it’s best wherever it is played. The Tradition of Great Chicago Live Music Continues With Gooey

Chicago Illinois has long been a music epicenter. In the early 1900′s, plantation workers migrated from the south bringing with them jazz and the blues, which lead to the birth of the Chicago blues and Chicago style Jazz. Chicago became very famous for the Blues however the Chicago music scene is not just limited to the Blues. Chicago is full of every kind of music from Symphony to punk rock and everything in between. Any and every kind of music style, Chicago has it all.

During the 1960′s and 1970′s folk music became a focal point from a number of prominent folk singer-songwriters like John Prine and Steve Goodman. The Chicago music scene is also famous for the Chicago house, a style of house music, which led to the birth of the techno style of music. In the 1980′s and 1990′s rock music, especially heavy, punk rock and alternative music were strong in Chicago when bands like The Smashing Pumpkins got their big start. And more recently more hip hop artists like Kanye West are emerging from the Chicago music scene. Despite the different varieties of music, these artists all have one thing in common – they all got their start in Chicago.
