Hip hop music can’t be classified as one type of music, just like most music. The West Coast Hip Hop from when the movement started often spoke of these injustices and was very political. Hip hop is also a cultural movement that includes graffiti writing, emceeing and DJing that was started to express social freedom. Commercial hip-hop tends to sound similar to each other, which is why it tends to stay popular. Hip hop isn’t JUST music. From musical concerts to theatrical productions to movie productions, hip hop is interjecting itself into aspects of our everyday lives. The negative publicity didn’t hinder hip hop’s success, though. Australia, Germany, France and Asia are just a few places that have a large growing hip hop culture. The hip hop movement began in the late 70s and into the early 80s and continued growing in popularity into today’s current times.

Each style sounds distinctly different to the others. It isn’t JUST a culture. To say it is would just be an easy way out of explaining the true meaning of hip hop. In the 80s the music was still very political, but started a trend towards party music as well. With other music and cultures already having a strong following, the idea that something can come along and gain so much momentum is very exciting.

The different styles of hip-hop music include gangster, rap, g-funk, east coast, west coast hip hop, dirty south, Midwest and more. The 90s brought gangster rap onto the West Coast Hip Hop scene and also a bad ‘rap’ from people including politicians such as ex-vice president Dan Quail. Hip hop is not just a style of music as some people would have you believe. In the 2000s the hip hop scene has become widely accepted and even seen blended with other music styles as well. It’s on our radios, viewed on our televisions and seen in our art. It isn’t even JUST a movement. Society has come a long way from the racial and cultural injustices that used to happen. Each style as its own distinct feel to it and greatly relates to what is going on in the communities in that area. West Coast Hip Hop may have started off as a cultural movement to show people the injustices in the African-American culture back in the 70s, but it has grown into so much more. The culture has grown into something of a phenomenon with how quickly it has become popular in such a short amount of time. It’s a part of our everday lives now, whether you like it or not. Hip hop has taken off all over the world and tends to be a growing all over the world in different societies. It isn’t really a genre of sorts like that of Classical, Oldies or Death metal.

Online Mastering is Capable of Making Great Masters From Good Mixes

This means the music will sound it’s best wherever it is played. Of course it could be played on any different type of sound system but the mastering will ensure it can sound as good as possible given the original mixes strengths and weaknesses. Online mastering is the final stage in the audio process and it is important that the music is entrusted to an individual who has had many years of audio engineering experience. Music Promoters who work with mega stars who sell out huge venues can make some serious money. But music promoters can easily find themselves working all day, every day, and only getting deeper into debt. Many music promoters have a day job that supports their promotion job. For becoming music promoters, a clear understanding of the money involved is needed, and there is a need to make deals with bands and venues very carefully. For any given show, music promoters’ expenses include: Venue rental, Advertising (posters, newspaper/magazine advertisements, etc), Backline rentals, Accommodation for the band, Rider and Payment for the band.

There are ways of mitigating some of the expenses involved in promoting, and for staying in this for the long haul, cutting costs as much as possible is needed. For instance, the band/label/agent is required to print posters and send them, instead of taking that cost on self. Accommodation should not be provided if the band’s show is not going to generate enough money to cover the costs, or if it is must, the band ought to be put up at the house.

Some of the expenses can also be cut down by working under a door split deal arrangement, instead of paying the band a set fee. That way, one can make all of the money back first, and then the band gets paid if the individual gets paid. Bigger artists will balk at this kind of deal and will want a set fee – paying a set fee is fine, and even ideal, when working with a band who will sell enough tickets to recoup the costs. But if the band putting on with, is just building a name for themselves, a door split deal is fair for everyone. It should be ensured that the band try to sell some merchandise at the show to give some extra money. The truth is that many shows lose money, especially the shows featuring new bands. As long as no one is withholding earnings from the band, it is perfectly OK to set up the shows so that one can lose as little as possible. Most up and coming bands will recognize that and will work. After all, if one succeeds, they succeed. Being fair to both parties – including self – is the name of the game.
